Abyss in detailed Guide:

The Abyss is an area released with the Zamorak Mage mini-quest.
It allows you to runecrafting much faster, although it's more dangerous than normal RC running.
The mage of Zamorak located north of edgeville (where you started the mini-quest) will teleport you there.
Your player will be skulled upon entering. You can access all the RC altars from the Abyss in different passages.
There are five ways to get in the inner ring which is needed for getting to the altars.
* Burning (Required items: tinderbox)
* Chopping (Hatchet)
* Mining (Pickaxe)
* Distracting (Higher thieving, the better chance of succeeding)
* Squeezing (Higher agility, the better chance of succeeding)

Tips:

* I suggest Chopping and Mining as you can wield a hatchet and pickaxe to save inventory room.
* Bring a one click teleport just in case or a ring of life.
* Wear boots of lightness to make you run faster.

It can store 3 pure essence, which lets you carry more essence per trip.
